Summer Programme
During the school summer holidays we also host a completely FREE six week summer programme providing events and lunch for young people from Croydon. This programme allows our staff to mentor and support young people over the summer break, as well as get them involved in fun activities so they can stay fit and make friends in a safe environment. Past activities we have done as part of this programme include: 5-a-side football, ten pin bowling, Oxygen trampoline park, going to the park, games and competitions in our unit, and many more.
Many of those who attend this programme come from single parent families and are eligible for free school meals. In order to support these young people, we also provide hot meals, food and snacks for free to all of those who come to our Summer Programme, as well as advice and guidance for any issues they are dealing with if they require it. Generally the young people who attend are aged between 14 and 17, and come from a host of different schools and Pupil Referral Units across Croydon borough.
If you are interested in signing up for the next summer programme, please contact: use our online form or email info@livesnotknives.org with the subject line 'Summer Programme Interest' and we will respond with further details.
